Employee to Empowerment™
Nicole Kincy-Wright achieves her lifelong vision and transforms from Employee to Empowerment™
Kincy-Wright spent the first 25 years of her career as a project manager for a large corporation in Memphis, Tennessee. As part of her job, she developed technology processes and procedures designed to help her employer achieve success. The outbreak of the pandemic and career ownership coaching from Stacey Gibson at The Entrepreneur’s Source® gave Kincy-Wright the courage to transform her future and pursue the American dream.
Career ownership coaches at TES specialize in helping people who are battered and bruised from years spent working in the corporate world to discover a different future. TES provides strategic, personalized coaching for people who are undergoing a career transition or want to achieve self-sufficiency and financial freedom.
TES coaches help potential business owners establish their goals, needs and expectations to reach a point of clarity about their future. People who work with a coach determine whether they want to find a new corporate job, start their own business, or invest in a franchise opportunity.
“I never thought I would appreciate a coaching process as much as I appreciated this one,” Kincy-Wright said. “Stacey [Gibson] dug deep and peeled back the layers, so I would be comfortable with my decision. She helped me move in the direction that would help me achieve my goals.”
Kincy-Wright began her coaching journey in June 2021. Gibson quickly helped Kincy-Wright realize her current career path was not achieving her goals. “She needed a more viable solution to meet her goals beyond working for someone else. She was looking for an opportunity to have work-life balance and meet her financial goals,” Gibson said.
Help from Gibson and seeing the success a friend found through franchising propelled Kincy-Wright to sign a franchise deal with Two Maids & A Mop. Kincy-Wright discovered franchising would allow her to become an employer by offering a proven business model and support system for success.
“Ultimately, the coaching I received made me realize I wanted to be able to share the skills, experience and knowledge that I’ve learned to help build someone else’s career,” Kincy-Wright said.
Two Maids & A Mop is a far cry from project management on the surface, but Kincy-Wright plans to use many of the skills she honed during her corporate tenure to help her business profit. Years of experience in management and strong communication skills will enable her to find promising talent to help her business flourish.
“The franchise that I chose is out of my wheelhouse, and the industry is new to me. But transferable skills are transferable,” Kincy-Wright said.
Being able to rely on the resources of the brand’s parent company gave her the confidence she needed to make the leap into business ownership. Having a roadmap to guide her as she opens her business and ongoing support to help her find new customers and grow her business is invaluable.
When most people hear the term franchising, they think of their local McDonald’s restaurant or Dunkin’ Donuts. Gibson makes it a priority to educate her clients about the franchise industry. Franchise business opportunities are available at a variety of prices and industries. Real estate, healthcare, residential, business services, automotive and retail services make up more than half of the franchise industry in the United States. Franchising helps provide a path to business ownership for many Americans. Franchise businesses employed more than 7.5 million Americans and contributed more than $670 billion to the U.S. economy in 2020, the International Franchise Association reported.
Coach Discovers Future in Franchising
Gibson started her future as a Career Ownership Coach™ eight years ago as she was approaching 50 years old. Living in the mountain town of Blowing Rock, North Carolina provided Gibson with the lifestyle she desired but provided few job opportunities in her field. After considering many options and working with her own TES coach, Gibson opted to help people attain financial freedom as a coach.
“It’s a privilege to be able to help people through this exciting and scary part of their careers. Making a transition from the corporate world to being a business owner is scary. I help take people through it and show them they will be OK. It’s priceless,” Gibson added.
